One Down...

After a short delay the first colour went down on the first poster print of our Cult Quotes Series - for the rather super 'Dead Man's Shoes'. Screenprinted by bearded wonder SAVWO finished A2 posters will be overprinted in three military camo colours. They're also extremely limited and are going to be given to our friends and colleagues who love the film like we do.

In order to get the correct tone of voice with the prints we felt it was necessary to "get into character" during the screenprint process. (See The Method for further reference.) The final two colours will be down this week so final posters should be trimmed and ready to go next week all being well...

tDR™ Up Over Down Under™...

Our friends The Designers Republic™ got in touch to tell us they're having a brand new exhibition at No Vacancy Gallery in Melbourne Australia in May. As part of Up Over Down Under™ Ian Anderson will also be sharing insights and experiences with delegates from all over the globe at agIdeas 2013. He'll also be running a series of workshops in Melbourne and Sydney. More info at the UODU™ website...

Montpellier's Café & Bar...

A little collaboration with the chaps at OWT that we've been working on. Montpellier's is a new café & bar opening in Manchester's Northern Quarter. We handled the logo design and the print side of things, OWT are busy designing and implementing the web side of things. Design and print for cards, flyers, staff uniforms, menus and beermats are all in the works. It opens in April!

Are You Known To Us?

We've been working on a new exhibition piece for performance artist Dani Abulhawa - Are You Known To Us? A follow up of sorts to a previous piece we created for Dani (True Love Waits) this A2 poster will accompany a live movement performance by Dani at an upcoming exhibition in Bristol in April. The poster is instructional, but playful and clarifies Dani's intention with her live performance outside of the gallery space.

Cult Quotes...

We've started up work again on our ongoing cult quotes large format poster series. Next up is one of our favourites - Dead Man's Shoes with Paddy Considine. You can see the set so far here. More to come...

The Lab...

Some new design work we're doing for art/design/music label The Lab went into production today at Chrispy's letterpress studio. New letterpressed cards are underway, printed on 540gsm GF Smith Monadnock Astrolite Smooth... More to come soon...

Idea Generation...

We were recently peer reviewers on content and structure for a new book on idea generation from AVA Academia. We even got a quote on the cover too! Part of the very successful "Basics" series - if you want to be able to think differently and be well versed in developing creative, idea driven work then this book is a great starting point. Judy Wainwright Posters...

Sneak peek of the character posters we've designed for Judy Wainwright that went into production just before the weekend. Litho printed in Pantone neon pink onto uncoated bible paper. These posters also double as wrapping paper for Judy's promo postcards... More pix to come soon...

Judy Wainwright Promo Cards...

We popped into the printer's today to have a look at production on some promo postcards we've designed for illustrator and painter Judy Wainwright. Printed black on three different GF Smith Colorplan colours - Candy Pink, Sorbet Yellow and Powder Green. There are also a number of limited edition Neon Pink on Candy Pink ones too.
